Women’s Rugby 7s squads for the 7s consist of 12 players and 2 support staff. You may add additional support staff (non-playing) to your squad. However, due to the limited accommodation in Gibraltar we cannot guarantee that they will be accommodated with the rest of the team.
You don’t need to bring your own physio as we will be providing pitch side support for all your games.

Women’s Elite 7s
Following the interest and success of the women’s competition we are splitting the women into two tiers for 2024. The Women’s Elite will feature some of the best women’s rugby around making it more appropriate for the teams taking part. Costa Blanca Women were crowned Champions in 2023, will they take the new prize in 2024?
Women’s Open 7s
With the introduction of the Women’s Elite competition for 2024, the Open competition is for the teams who want to come to Gib for a fantastic time and play some rugby – who wouldn’t? The competition runs alongside the Men’s Open on Friday and Saturday. Can anybody beat Sefton Ladies in a dancing competition? Just watch the live stream from last year!
Gibraltar 7s – What’s Included?
4 Days of Sport and Sightseeing Activities
Entry to the Tournament on all 4 days is included for your whole team allowing you to enjoy every aspect of the Gibraltar 7s. Fun, sun and a big ROCK.
Team Support: To aid you through your journey from Team Registration, accreditation, getting around and being where you need to be, our Team Liaison Manager will be with you every step of the way.
Lunch Included: On your two game days lunch will be provided for the whole team in the Player’s Lounge. Snacks and fruit will be available for you throughout the day and a place where you can relax out of the sun or if you prefer on the Player’s Balcony taking in the amazing Atlas Mountains of North Africa – don’t forget after your games there is a player’s bar too with special pricing.
Medical: If you don’t have a team physio, we have got you covered. Every rugby match will have at least two physios looking after the teams and a physio covering the netball court too. We also have Doctors and an ambulance on standby.
Sports Massage Therapists: Stay in tip-top condition during the competition with our team of sports massage therapists who will be on hand to ease out the stress of the match. If you prefer, there’s always an ice bath or two!
Officials: For the third year running we are delighted to welcome the team from “7s Referee” who will be doing exactly what they say on the tin, providing experienced referees and umpires to both sports.
These specialist officials travel the world officiating at some of the biggest and best competitions, their dedication, attention to detail & self-reflection makes them leaders in their field.
Live Stream: 2023 was a milestone for the Gib 7s Live Stream with over 14 thousand views. This year our stream will be 73% bigger with over 35 hours of live action of rugby and netball.

How to enjoy the Gibraltar 7s
The Gibraltar 7s is a fantastic event for every sports fan. Make friends, meet old friends and enjoy the atmosphere, the fun and of course, the sun. As well as two large bars to help keep the queues down, and a further bar in the Fan Zone next to the pitch, there are several food outlets featuring a number of options. Put your feet up and enjoy the action on, and off, the field. Enjoy the live entertainment on Thursday night as the Vets open the show or the Beer Festival on Friday.

Join us in the stands to watch over 35 hours of rugby and netball, take time out in the fan zone – try your hand at passing and shooting, see what our partners have to offer.
You can buy tickets for individual days, weekends or all four days, enjoy the live bands and the DJs as well as the tension of the sports.

Why not bring your office team or clients along to the 7s?
Relax in your own corporate box with space to chill, network and watch both rugby and netball from your raised position or private seating. You will have your own bar and service to keep your drinks cold.
Don’t need a full Corporate Box?
Why not join us in the GRFU box where you can buy a few spaces and enjoy all of the same benefits. Want to bring clients at different times? That’s cool too. We can arrange timed access to the box and a wristband for entry to the rest of the action for the rest of the day.
